The East Area Rapist – Part 1

The Visalia Ransacker

In March of 1974, an unidentified male began a series of serial burglaries in and around Visalia, California until December 10, 1975. Single-story homes were typically targeted. He would often pillage the residence, stealing items that weren’t of much value. These reported break-ins hardly received attention across the press and news on television; the crimes went under the radar. During the majority of the intrusions, nobody was necessarily harmed in a physical manner until September 11, 1975, when his crime spree escalated for unknown reasons.
